I opened my account with mettle when I first went self employed and I’ve not look back since. They are great bank with excellent customer service, if ever you’ve got an issue they are there straight away to help no long phone calls on hold I honestly couldn’t recommend them enough. Excellent bank, it’s not often in this life that something is completely free. Companies are normally trying to bleed you dry at every opportunity, but Mettle does a lot, for free. Can’t get better than that Reviewed on: 3rd February 2026
