Mettle has proven to be the best for sole-traders and businesses. I've tried a couple of online banks and none of them come close to what Mettle offers out of the box. The automatic splits have been a life-saver for tax pots and savings and the invoice management keep everything organised. All are features that other banks keep behind a paywall. Highly recommend! Great business banking platform and app, I’ve recommended to a few colleagues who have now switched banks and are equally happy. They way the business account links with the Xero invoicing software and Hubdoc makes light work of keeping the books in check. Reviewed on: 9th April 2026
