I personally have had an amazing experience with mettle quite honestly the best bank I have had the pleasure of dealing with. Customer service is 10-10 you get a clear helping hand easier than actually walking into some of the so called top high street banks. Great modern alternative to most standard UK business banks. Extremely fast account approval, and very few issues experienced with this bank. Some payment limitations can be annoying (eg. 10k max transaction). Pot savings rate are not competitive - we use a separate bank for this. Sometimes, support can be a little slow too. The inclusion of FreeAgent is an excellent addition. Overall 8/10. Reviewed on: 18th March 2025

Good all round for sole traders

Quick to respond to queries, app is easy to use and navigate, easy to add payees and transfer money. I also love being able to create Pots so that I can keep certain payments back, plus being able to link to an accounts package for free is another bonus. Reviewed on: 18th March 2025

Great App. Love the invoicing feature which makes it really good for small businesses. There are a few occasions where the app has had faults that the team have communicated or locked me out for no reason, which can be a bit nerve racking when doing payroll etc...
