Cant even do payments/ never received the card

Im very disappointed in Monese! I need to do payments but they’re not lettting me. Reason why is because I wont receive a SMS confirmation/code, meanwhile my number is correct! I cant even transfer the money back to my other account! Now they go’n charge me monthly for something I CANT EVEN USE! They said It will take weeks/ months to solve the problem. (im not the only customer) plus I never received the card! Reviewed on: 28th October 2017

Ideal for people living abroad

Living in the UK and travelling home to Italy often, my Monese card has turned out to be great for me. I can use the currency I want without having to pay conversion fees, and I can switch between my EURO and GBP account so easily! Reviewed on: 25th February 2023

Scam bank

Don't use them they will block your account hold your money and won't communicate been trying to get back my £8.8K for a month now closed my account because i had someone paying rent into my account Scam bank 25 emails later no response !!! go read the bad stories there are loads its all true ... I never thought it would happen to me but they have affected my credit rating because payments couldn't be made DD got cancelled and still cant pay as they have all my money !!! Account blocked and no help

We opened a Monese account for our relative who has dementia. His card has been blocked with no support to unblock it. We can’t get hold of anyone to draw down the money that is stuck in the account. How can a company do this. Our relative is now suffering from anxiety as well as dementia which is messing with his mental health. Come on Monese. This is a disgrace. Monese SCAMMMM!!!!!!!!

I have changed my phone to another phone and when i tried to login in my account my husband tought it was created with his details so he put his details and his photo for recognition. We were told that the account has been blocked from 20th of november 2022. Tried to contact them on their phone on +44 1706 304 001 but nobody is answering back I and sent dozens of e-mails to [email protected] and they send me back to wait but nobody has contacted me by phone or by e-mail. Please be advised that i don`t know my account number because i used this account for transfers very rare. Scammers! Account blocked.

As soon as you have a substantial amount of money in your account, they will most likely block it. My account was blocked for about 3 months now with no action from them. Customer support is also trying to avoid the issue. Reviewed on: 29th November 2022
