Moving from HSBC to Monzo has been fantastic. Native integrations into Xero are great as a small business onwer, as is app-based access and Debit Cards for the whole team. The Easiest Business Decision I’ve Made .

I switched my business banking to Monzo because I wanted something simple, clear, and actually designed for people who run their own business — not a clunky system that feels like it was built 20 years ago. From day one, it’s been refreshingly easy to use. I can see exactly what’s coming in and going out at a glance, separate pots make tax and savings stress-free, and everything just… works. No jargon, no jumping through hoops, no wasting time on things that don’t move my business forward. The invoicing has been a real game-changer for me. Creating and sending invoices takes minutes, I can see when they’ve been viewed and paid, and I can send receipts straight from my account without needing extra software or spreadsheets. Everything stays in one place, which saves a huge amount of admin time. I also love that I can download all my transactions straight into Google Sheets, which makes tracking and reviewing my finances incredibly easy. On top of that, Monzo’s accounting tools give real peace of mind with the new HMRC rules — it feels future-proofed rather than something I’ll need to change again in a year or two. As a small business owner, time and clarity matter. Monzo gives me both. It’s helped me stay organised, feel more in control of my finances, and focus on growing my business rather than managing it. The bank fails to provide straightforward, automatic bank statements, making necessary accounting and professional documentation a "painful process" and creating unnecessary administrative work. The experience was so frustrating that they deleted the app and are moving their business finances to a different bank, warning others not to rely on Monzo for professional use. DO NOT USE FOR BUSINESS BANKING

I would not recommend anyone to use Monzo as a Business Banking account. I opened one up 2 months ago as the online business banking company I currently use have started adding extra charges. I hadn’t got around to transferring everything over yet with direct debits, standing orders and my card machine companies for taking payments as I just hadn’t the time. I scheduled time to do this next week as the charges from my current on are grating on me now. I had my personal Monzo card stolen on holiday last week and reported it and ordered a new card. I have now had an email to say they are closing down my business account but can not tell me why. I am so glad I hadn’t spent not spent the time transferring everything over yet. There is absolutely no reason for them to close this account, it is so bizarre and weird to me, I don’t understand at all. Had I of switched everything over and been fully utilising them for 2 months and got this, it would of caused me so much stress and anxiety to switch everything over again with no reason or explanation as to why. I’d stay well clear if they can just shut an account like that for no reason other than reporting your personal card being stolen, which I froze straight away when I realised.
