Great idea, but occasional reliability issues prevent full-on usage

App works well and got great usability. Launched Currents Account recently sparking further features. Very helpful customer service. So why 4 stars? The overall offering is still not as competitive as others (such as having multi-currency accounts) or offering interest on balance. Most importantly, they got repeat issues with cards not working. TL;DR: they're definitely spearheading the fintech revolution in the country and got a great package, but got some homework to do to ensure folks are not just using them as a "side-account" but making the full-on switch. Fixing my financial life

The app is so well built (if still a little light on features - this changes on a weekly basis mind you) and really has made me realise how much unnecessary spending I was doing. Best bank I've ever used

Monzo has given me the experience I've always wanted banking to be. The customer service is top notch, and they have a friendly, active, open community. They clearly believe in doing things right for LGBT+ people (no gendering, no gendered titles, preferred name on card), and for everyone else too. They're open and honest when things go wrong, the card looks great, and the app is fast and works well. It's secure, but without layers of useless security theatre that just render many major banking apps unusable. A* and I'm excited for the future as a Monzo customer! Reviewed on: 23rd January 2018
