Review of the MORE THAN, Car insurance (discontinued):

Incompetent employees within the company.

My policy was cancelled without any further notice whatsoever, even though my payments were up to date. I receive an email on the day that my insurance was cancelled. Which was pathetic and unprofessional way to handle such situations . Anyways, I rang them straightaway to find out the reason for cancelling my policy and after a thorough investigation, it confirmed that error was made by one of their employees who did not update their system. Which I was advised to wait between 24 and 48 hours for the policy to be reinstated. I waited for 72 hours and no phone call was made therefore I decided to ring them again and ask them to explain why the delay in reinstating the policy and provide a valid reason for doing so. However, the unbelievable happened, this particular customer service team member disconnected the phone call; as she didn’t have any explanation to my questions; on why is it taking long to reinstate my policy and why was it cancelled in the first place without a thorough investigation? Adding to this, I even asked to speak to a manager but she went ahead and disconnected the call. Not only am I frustrated but also very angry to the fact that I had to face a lot of inconveniences for the past few days in arranging taxis for my children school runs, especially when they attend different schools. I was also forced to catch a train to Leicester with husband and children, to visit my elderly mother in law who was hospitalised, including taxi rides to hospital from train station; all this occurred due to someone else’s mistake and yet do not want to own up to it which is the saddest part of it all! Very unprofessional, no ethics and decency at all! There was no apologies at all, yet the employee had the decency to disconnect the phone call because she didn’t have answers to my questions. Furthermore, according to another customer service team member the “system defaults itself if there was an error”. What a joke! Nevertheless, my argument is; the system will not default itself unless they were not updated in the first place! It’s a simple logic! Therefore, to my conclusion, so far this is the worst company to have insurance with, employees lack empathy and are not skilled enough, including the management teams. The whole company is sham! I wouldn’t even give one star but was required to enable carry on with my review. Definitely not worth it! Would definitely not recommend at all! DISGRACEFUL APPALLING USELESS

If it were possible to give a 0 or minus review I certainly would. The "service", such as it is from this shyster business is appalling. The "low mileage" devices they send out are nothing short of Micky Mouse rubbish, we've had three now and provided all the information in a timely polite manner, it's a pity their responses are not the same. They continually send a barrage of emails and texts threatening to cancel the policy unless the device is fitted and working yet the issue is most definitely with their trashy and faulty equipment. We even have the photos showing the device installed, emails and dates to confirm this. My advice, DO NOT use More Than because it's More trouble Than they're worth. Appalling attitudes and disgraceful service. We'll definitely not be using them in the future and we'll be complaining to the relevant ombudsman. Reviewed on: 21st March 2023

car insurance address change

i purchased more thsn car insurance and when i was moving house they wanted £420 on top of what i was already paying for my insurance which was £486 just to change my address. im very upset by this and can not afford it. i dont work due to a disability. i attempted to cancel my insurance and they wanted £300 for cancelling. im completely stuck. this insurance it the worst there is. admiral only charge £26 for cancelling. more than is terrible and have ruined my life Reviewed on: 17th March 2023

THIEVES

Please please do NOT ever use this insurance company and certainly never ever pay them up front! I paid them £3000 for my sons black box insurance, he had a v minor accident where he was at fault 4 months into the insurance. They cancelled his insurance and will not refund a penny of the £3000 I paid!!! Unbelievable. I will take this to the end! Reviewed on: 20th February 2023

Took my deposit and charged me extra after the insurance

I insured with these guys as my first insurer I paid the deposit upfront and paid my monthly payments. I was never late and never missed any. Due to financial issues I sold the car and cancelled my policy I didn’t expect the full deposit but I expected some of it considering I only had the insurance for 3 months. After disputing with them I let it go and took the £170 out of £1300. So after all this I then received a email to say I owe them another fee of £60 for using there cover and if it’s not paid within 2 weeks it’ll be sent on to debt collectors! They gave me a black box which was the worst thing ever the faces are sad if your out to early and home when it’s dark I honestly would not recommend this Insurance to anyone Reviewed on: 25th January 2023

Dangerous cover

Made 1 claim after years of cover and ‘ more than’ cancelled my cover after paying out without informing me! Leaving me without cover for nearly 6 months when I was due the renew! If something would have happened I wouldn’t have been covered!!! So dangerous Reviewed on: 19th January 2023

Please please do not get insurance with More Than Low Miler

Please learn from most people on this forum and DO NOT BUY INSURANCE from More Than car insurance. I have tried calling them for 3 days and when I finally got through just now they told me I have to call back in the morning at 8:00. What’s the point of waiting for 45 minutes to be told they can’t help anyone!! This company is all bout the money and don’t give any considerations to the customer. The car is broken down at a workshop and I can’t get through to my insurance company. This company is a joke so Please DO NOT buy an insurance policy from this company!!!
