Smart wheels is a money generator

More than insurance is a total scam! My student daughter is in tears with this company they are a disgrace, this smart wheels policy they offer is a cash generator, £180 for 500 extra miles, 108 miles into this 500 extr they sent her a notice of cancellation, only two month of her policy to go, a phone call later and they now want £290 extra for 1000 more miles!!!!!!! Apparently the 500 she purchased is now not acceptable to them?!? So unless she she agrees to an additional 1000 they are cancelling the policy! You gits! They kept her on the phone telling her if she hung up the quote would increase, she put Lewis on hold and phoned me in tears, they would not allow us to pay the extra in a lump sum to save her the stress, the payment had to come from her account? She is a student ffs and struggling as it is you slimy money makers, they refused to send her the updated quote saying it was against company rules to share that information? Go on tell me why? How can a company refuse to send a quote or invoice for a policy extra? Where is the money going. It sounds to me that the team at moron sorry more than are on commission for extras, it all seems to double glazing salesman to me, why does she have to pay now? Window salesman tactic, why will the price go up if she does not pay now? Window salesman tactic, why can your team not send a revised invoice/ quote? Conning salesman avoiding VAT tactic, why only accept debit card payments? Window salesman tactics or someone fearful of a chargeback! Cash is king now how about a new front door? Morons sorry more than is scamming inexperienced youngsters! Avoid at all costs do not be fooled it is not worth the stress. Note to more than we will join any joint court action against you now you have caused my daughter and us so much stress and money, in my opinion you have tricked us and Mis sold her this policy after her inputting her information. At the start she told them her family home is in one city but was a student at a university in another, so she was living away from home of course, they understood that and continued with the quote, months later they contacted her saying her policy was incorrect and the vehicle was not being kept at the family home, they were aware of that! But penalised her for that fact after being made aware and the correct section of the quote being filled in saying all that. She is studying aviation and also told them she would be driving at odd hours including early AM they were ok with that at the time of the quote but not after! They shafted her score what ever that is saying she was driving at unreasonable hours and penalised her score? They were aware to start with! You tell me how driving very early in the morning is more risky than at peak times? They also said repeatedly at the time of selling the policy that she would need a black box they repeatedly told her it would only need to be on for six months! You lying gits! I demand you stop telling people that because that is a lie! That is not correct and your team are telling people that but when it comes to it they are learning the hard way. I do not like the way you also cancel policies so easily! You are ruining young people's lives acting in that way! You not only damage the credit history and policy that shows as being cancelled effects future quotes! So if this is a way of increasing prices year on year then I hope some government body screws you over good and proper you damn well deserve it. Stop acting like crooks be honest and open! Yes money is all you are after I understand that but go about it the correct way! Me and my family will now not use more than or any company associated with it ever again! stay away from this company

Insured my car for 12 months on the phone before policy expired, waiting for debit card payment to go through which I was told it had. Thought job was done as got policy documents through along with a gift voucher, until 14 days after it had expired when I got an email saying sorry I had left More Than, so I called to discover they had not completed my policy saying the card payment could not go through due to lack of funds, but knowing there was plenty of funds I got written verification from my bank stating that no attempt had been made to take funds by More Than. More Than the admitted their mistake and say they would have covered my car for the 14 days but we know they would not have and it had been taken off the insurance data base on the day of expiry which they later admitted. They offered £100 in compensation for a high powered car, not that old, high value, that could have been stolen or in an accident, also bearing in mind I could have lost my licence which I rely on for work. This is a dangerous company to deal with, very slippery, most definitely unreliable so wont be going back to them again ad would recommend nobody else does. Reviewed on: 14th September 2022

Absolutely disgusting company to deal with. DO NOT recommend at all. My policy was cancelled on the letter stating 7 days but infact it was 1 day from the day i got the letter. My named driver cancelled her policy previously on her own vehicle with a different company due to door number being incorrect. This went down as ‘fraud’ according to more than’s company regulations. We explained the situation but no, policy was still cancelled. They understand yes, but do they care NO. Reviewed on: 31st August 2022

I spoke to a lady who was in the Cape Town office, and she made the whole process very easy. She was a lovely lady named Sam, at Cape Town, and she could not have been more helpful! Policy cancelled because they delivered milage device to wrong address

More Than are cancelling my insurance policy because they've delivered my mileage device to the wrong address. They refuse to accept it wasn't delivered to me because they have a picture of someone i don't know holding a parcel. No name, no signature. They refuse to send me a new device even though i have nothing to gain from making this up and will in fact now be considerably out of pocket with a cancelled policy on my record. I used More Than for my car insurer a couple years ago and I had some miscommunication with them when I was up for renewal and looking to move onto another insurer. I had lost the email they sent across with my no claims discount and I tried contacting them multiple times to retrieve it, ultimately it was sent across too late and my my new insurer cancelled on me. Awful company DO NOT GET CAR INSURANCE

Increased my premium themselves and charged triple amount, which I never agreed! Phone them to cancel the insurance twice, Didn't even listen to a word I said, they asked me to wait till their verification team look into my account and, however Never had a single response. 3 weeks later cancelled my insurance without notification, and send me a big bill with a threatening letter. Avoid these guys at all costs. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, THEY TOOK ALMOST 6 MONTHS TO VERIFY DOCUMENTS, They don't do any basic requirements that a normal insurance company does instead they hide behind an app that they barely update and think is providing adequate notifications. Scammers
