Bad service

Was taken ill on holiday abroad with heart condition and admitted to hospital immediately put claim in via phone/online could not share all documents online, trying to ring is a joke on hold over an hour each time. Then mu online claims got cancelled. Sent documents in post had text acknowledgement f paperwork in post but no claim number. Try to call to progress claim closed Tues and Thursdays other days can't get though been nearly 3 months post claim now. Always used never claimed terrible service Reviewed on: 9th May 2023

Worth the switch

I’ve been a Nationwide Flex customer for 30 years and a flex plus for 2 + years. I’ve had cause to use their mobile phone insurance twice ad well as roadside recovery twice and both times they’ve answered the phone quickly, been professional and responsive. Suggested I have appt with financial manager to switch account & possibly a loan. Disgusted Apr 18.9% not 3-5% as advertised a existing customer and t top it off they couldn't switch our account! Waste of time believe us we're moving to a PROPER bank! Reviewed on: 22nd November 2018

Flexible, secure and forever growing

Easy to use, safe from fraudsters and look after your little and big money, providing with the knowledge your things are safe at home and abroad. Very friendly and helpful even if you did accidently take the wrong banks books in! Reviewed on: 17th November 2018

A touch expensive but...

...you get a lot. Don't have to worry about travel insurance or breakdown cover, and you get both (amongst other things) for cheaper than you'd get one. Great value. Reviewed on: 12th November 2018

Superb value packaged current account.

I really can't praise the Nationwide Building Society highly enough & in particular their Flexplus current account which provides unlimited Worldwide travel insurance,UK & European breakdown cover and mobile phone insurance and all for £13 per month which covers both myself & my partner.....this current account has saved us at the very least £600 per year.....it's astonishingly good value and I'm more than happy to recommend this account and also the Nationwide Building Society for providing an outstanding selection of banking and savings products while remaining true to their mutual values.
