Great bank account

I think this bank account provides great value for money for the monthly fee especially considering the free insurance products provided. I have had to use the free mobile phone insurance twice and have had excellent service both times. The debit and credit cards are commission free when using abroad and give good exchange rates. The online banking is easy to use. Also gives excellent interest rate on regular saver account available with account. Reviewed on: 8th November 2017

A great account with lots of benefits.

My husband & I transferred our joint account to the Nationwide some years ago (with him being the lead customer). Although there is a monthly fee, it still outweighs our previous bank account as we were saving costs on other things, such as car breakdown, etc. We earn 5% on our money each month, which, in reality, reduces the monthly fee. In addition, we have been awarded £100 eaach time we recommended the account to a friend, both our friends and ourselves earning £100. Earlier this year I changed our other joint account (with me as the lead customer) to Nationwide and both of our accounts were credited with £100 for the change. The change over was seamless and we have a very personal service at our local branch, where staff are always happy to help with any concerns or problems we have. All in all a first class account which I would have no hesitation in recommending. Reviewed on: 8th November 2017

Good account however the Mobile Insurance is completely dreadful.

Good overall account, credit interest, free worldwide atm withdrawals, worldwide travel insurance. However the mobile phone insurance provided by lifestyle services group is completely dreadful. Water damage to my handset. Day 1 - Made claim and sent handset to Ashford to be repaired by Royal Mail special delivery. Day 11 - Recived handset back repaired. Day 12 - Handset stopped working with the same fault and called them immediately to report this (evening ) Day 13 - Handset sent back to be repaired Day 18 - Still waiting for the handset to be returned Made multiple telephone calls, no one can provide a date to when I'll get a repaired or replacement handset. Travel Insurance

I had requirment to claim for canclation of a weekend break dur to my whife being medicaly unable to travel. I needed to claim for the costs of flights and the first nights accomodation. A quick phone call and everything was sorted instanty over the phone a fantastic painless process I am highly impressed. Reviewed on: 24th September 2017

Easy access account

I love my bank, it's an easy online account which I can keep an eye on. I can notify them if there are going to be any changes to my spend so there are no embarrassing blocks. Everything is in control at a touch of a button. I also have a credit card, savings account and my Mortgage with them. I can see all accounts in one place keeping me in control of my finances.
