Main account and has been for decades. Insurance is great to have but I would probably never use the mobile phone one as they have to wipe your phone if you send it in. Have used the Breakdown but that is very hit and miss with waiting times for call outs. I really wish they would do what 99% of other banks do - pay interest monthly on savings accounts. I just prefer it, but when I asked I was told, "Our customers prefer yearly." I replied, "Why don't you Poll your customers, as I am one and I don't..." Very good app to use. Probably one of the most intuitive and easy to use. They now make it a lot easier to set up payments as well which was a great upgrade. Reviewed on: 25th March 2026

Easy to Set up and Good Value.

I have left my old bank of many years standing, who just do not seem to value my customer. My new Nationwide FlexPlus account was extremely easy to set up, with all payments etc smoothly transferred. The new account is extremely good value with travel insurance for any age, even pre-existing illnesses have been covered, with no extra charge. Reviewed on: 25th March 2026

FlexPlus - the best account I’ve ever had

The FlexPlus has been the best current account I’ve ever had (and I’ve had a few), for a good many reasons. Firstly, they aren’t owned like the rest, which sits better with me. Secondly, the app is secure, feels safe, provides adequate warnings etc., but not at all at the expense of ease of use. Bit thirdly, although its price has increased, I believe the array of insurances available for the monthly fee is second to none! Furthermore, whilst I’ve only ever had to claim once on any of them, it was an effortless experience. Oh, and they aren’t closing branches like the rest, either! In short, I would - and have - convinced others to back with Nationwide, and have nothing but praise for their service provided. Keep up the good work! Reviewed on: 24th March 2026
