Easy and quick to sort I took out a personal loan with Natwest and it was quick and easy. Money was transferred the same day. Reviewed on: 24th March 2026

Loan application nightmare!!

In short; app said I’d likely be approved for a loan, applied online and approved advising money would hit account in a few days. System glitch (which NatWest stated was my error- Since proved otherwise) and process started again. 3 months later, 20+ phone calls later and advised loan approved by complaints manager and on the day the money due to hit the account..... it was ‘declined’. If it wasn’t so spectacularly frustrating; the level of corporate dysfunction would almost be impressive! Reviewed on: 28th December 2018

Not a very helpful bank. My credit score was okay but they would only give me a loan at a ridiculous rate. You would think that they would help you considering you are their customer. Customer service is bad - end up waiting on hold for ages and you never really get anywhere. Reviewed on: 30th April 2018
