Very helpful

Am looking to move an account from Santander to Newbury as fed up with half an hour waits on the phone with Santander and want to walk into a local branch. The Newbury were very friendly and helpful in facilitating this, so would certainly recommend Reviewed on: 6th October 2023

EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE

As soon as I arrived at the Abingdon Branch, I knew that I had made the right decision to transfer my savings to the Newbury Building Society as Will (on the desk) and Jessica were so friendly & helpful. I had phoned to book an appointment so Jessica already had some of my details and knew which products I was interested in. She explained the products to me and told me about other accounts that I might be of interest to me in the future, The whole process took about 35 minutes and I left feeling impressed by the level of service. Your approach was far better than that of a bank at which I opened an account earlier this year; during the account-opening procedure, I had to watch 3 short films explaining their accounts and most of the information given was of no interest to me.
