Really friendly, helpful staff and also easy to add funds by internet as well.

I met staff of Newbury Building Society at Abingdon Air Show and liked the sound of the account which I subsequently opened in branch. The service I received in branch was very good and the whole process was very smooth. Since then I have used internet access which again is very user-friendly (I'm not computer-savvy, so need simple systems!). Reviewed on: 4th January 2018

A pleasantand easy introductiontosavingwith Newbury Building Society

I had some pension lump sum money doing nothing and, on the recommendation of a friend, decided to see what Newbury Building Society could do for me. After all, their branch in Thatcham is very convenient for me and I liked the thought of saving with a mutual society. I walked in without an appointment, was seen straight away and within 20 minutes walked out with two savings accounts giving me the optimal return on the sum of money I had deposited. I am very pleased I chose this course of action and was delighted with the service I received - face to face and very "old school". Whilst I was there, there was a steady stream of people depositing or withdrawing and the cashier knew them all personally. Reviewed on: 8th October 2021

Fabulous face to face experience

Personal, professional - perfect!

We had unexpectedly come into some money and were unsure of how best to save/invest it. A quick chat with Paula at Hungerford branch was great! She knew all about the products and what Newbury Building Society could offer us. I felt safe in her hands and no question was too trivial or silly... I would recommend that everyone go and have a face-to-face chat to make sure their monies are in the best place for their circumstances - whether you are currently a member or not. Informative and helpful advice

I had money from another company to go into accounts I had opened with Newbury BS and the advice I was given this day as well as the time before I felt they had my best interests at heart. They made sure that my money was in appropriate accounts to make it work best for me and informed me of my options going forward into the new tax year.
