Really friendly, helpful staff and also easy to add funds by internet as well.

I met staff of Newbury Building Society at Abingdon Air Show and liked the sound of the account which I subsequently opened in branch. The service I received in branch was very good and the whole process was very smooth. Since then I have used internet access which again is very user-friendly (I'm not computer-savvy, so need simple systems!). Reviewed on: 4th January 2018

Speedy and simple Account Opening

Transferring funds to ISA

Transferred funds only for them to be returned as had to re-register ISA and fill out manual form. There is nothing on the website to say that and not sure the reason if the account is open and active. Reviewed on: 12th July 2019

There are a few possibilities due to HMRC requirements, i.e. if there is a break in the subscription, with no deposit was made in a fiscal year, there is then a requirement to re-register to retain the tax-free status of the account.
