PayPal Helped Resolve My Dispute Quickly

I recently had a dispute with an online merchant over a purchase that did not go as expected. After weeks of trying to resolve the matter directly with the seller, I raised the dispute through PayPal. Once PayPal became involved, the situation moved much more quickly. The merchant responded through the Resolution Center, and after I accepted a settlement offer, my refund of £26.97 was processed and credited to my account in less than 48 hours. I appreciated having buyer protection available and being able to communicate through the Resolution Center, which helped bring the matter to a conclusion. While I would have preferred a full refund from the outset, I was pleased that the dispute was ultimately resolved and the agreed refund was processed promptly. Overall, this experience gave me confidence that PayPal’s dispute process can be effective when a purchase does not go according to plan. Reviewed on: 8th July 2026
