However, there are some downsides. Transaction fees can add up, particularly for international payments or business accounts. Currency conversion rates are not always the most competitive either. In some cases, account limitations or holds can occur, which can be frustrating if funds are needed urgently. Monzo declined

Unfortunately it doesn’t allow me to connect my bank to automatically transfer to my PayPal which has unfortunately resulted to miss payments. I now have to set reminders on pay day to pay it off. If this feature could be resolved by approving bank ( monzo ) it would be better for me personally Reviewed on: 18th April 2026
