I really love the "Pay in 3 Option".

I did not rate higher only because after 5 years of being able to Pay in 3 with Paypal, they suddenly withdrew that option and all other credit options from me last month, despite me having made all my repayments on time with them. I appreciated the breathing space of being able to pay for purchases over 3 months and considered it a more responsible option to Paypal credit, because people tend to have forgotten what they purchased 6 months prior then suddenly have to repay it in one go. It didn’t bother me that I was never eligible for Paypal credit, as I had another credit product that I have repaid in full every month for several years. I am disappointed at PayPal’s suddenly withdrawing the pay in 3 option, after I paid my instalments on time and occasionally even repaid early. Reviewed on: 8th July 2026
