Good for online purchases & refunds, bad for credit

Great use it to pay for most online purchases, have had to deal with refunds in the past which went through smoothly so no issues for those things, however i was emailed an offer for a credit card with them multiple times which made out they would give me one so I eventually signed up and they refused after doing a hard check on my credit score which pulled my credit score down for years Reviewed on: 8th July 2026

I always feel reassured to see PayPal as an option

I always feel reassured when any online retailer has the option to use PayPal. It gives me confidence in the transaction that should anything go wrong I will be protected and supported. I also have the confidence that my details will be secure and the option to use pay in three helps me balance my finances no end. The speed, ease and the no extra cost is so valuable and allows me to make my money go further. I always feel a little bit outraged when I can’t pay via PayPal! My family use it when needing to send IOU money and I recently bought something from a member of an online forum and they requested the payment through PayPal - the whole transaction was so easy.
