Great pet insurance.

Great cover

We have an annual policy for our dog. Within the limits of the policy, petplan have always been good to cover treatment that is able to be covered, and you can make your claims online now which is great. Reviewed on: 14th August 2022

Good coverage...at a price.

My dog Archie, recently needed a heart scan. I paid £500 upfront and Petplan reimbursed me (minus £125 excess) within a matter of days. For this I can't fault them. However, as of next year, when he turns 10, I will not only have to pay an increased excess but also 20% of fees. Not so good. Reviewed on: 13th August 2022

Very rarely quibble

Having had experience of other companies where they split hairs (pun chosen intentionally) over what was covered and what wasn't Petplan has rarely come back saying they can't cover a condition (minus the excess obviously). I adopted my beloved and eccentric small chocolate labradoodle almost 9 years ago now from the Labradoodle Trust and Hector came with 3 months free cover from Petplan. I love the fact that part of your payment covers this scheme and am so pleased it introduced me to Petplan. I did make sure I did a comparison with other companies offering pet insurance before I signed up to continuing with them after the 3 months but in terms of life condition cover and an assurance that premiums would not go up as a result of a claim they couldn't be beaten. Hector is 13 now and whilst the monthly payments are higher than when he was 4 for obvious reasons I have not (yet) seen an unreasonable hike. In addition they pay direct to the Vets which saves a lot of hassle. After the awful time I had with my Labradors cover with another company I would always pick Petplan. I don't normally spend the time to do these things but these guys deserve it. Reviewed on: 11th August 2022

I love PetPlan!

PetPlan have been nothing but amazing for me and my two boys. Jack was quite poorly before I joined PetPlan and my previous insurance company weren’t particularly helpful. Peace of mind
