Brilliant service

We had a terrible time with our dog who suddenly developed acute pancreatitis. She was very ill and needed to go to a second vet practice for overnight care. I really expected it being at two vets that I would be out of pocket but petplan paid both bills within a week. I can't fault them. Reviewed on: 30th September 2025

Insurance that actually pays out when you need it

I took a risk with PetPlan because their monthly rates are higher than most, but they were recommended by my vet and I had a feeling my cat would end up developing health issues (he is a former stray, so had very little health care in his early years). It has paid off following his diabetes diagnosis. In less than a year I have broken even because PetPlan do not quibble on costs. They take the advice of the vet and pay quickly - just today, I have received £320 back from a claim raised two days ago. You take a risk with the up front costs but in PetPlan's case, they deliver. Been a customer for over 11 years and have two dogs insured with PetPlan. Their customer service is excellent very friendly staff and extremely helpful. I have no issues with claims they deal with them very quickly. Their policies are very user friendly and explain everything from cost (monthly) and excess applied and any changes. The only downside is that it can be slightly expensive compared to other Pet Insurance companies but I wouldn’t change. Reviewed on: 28th September 2025

The best pet insurance around!

We have always used petplan for all of our dogs, the only insurance we will use. Petplan has always paid out for claims we have made, and are often quick to do so. When our Dalmatian got diagnosed with epilepsy, we were faced with a bill of just under £5k, worried about not being able to afford to pay that outright, the vets were able to contact Petplan who dealt with the claim directly. Saving us the worry of having to pay straight away, and later claim back. Reviewed on: 27th September 2025

Petplan have paid a recently claim extremely quickly...

Petplan have paid a recently claim extremely quickly and despite needing additional information from me, the process was really straight forward and easy and at no point did I have any concerns they'd pay out. They're not the cheapest insurer but you get what you pay for and the peace of mind when my pet gets ill is priceless. Reviewed on: 24th September 2025

Amazing claims service
