Petplan promise to never charge you more for claiming and they’ve created policies that cover some things other insurers don’t. You can get pet insurance for dogs, cats and rabbits. There’s also a multi-pet cover option.

Been a customer for over 11 years and have two dogs...

Been a customer for over 11 years and have two dogs insured with PetPlan. Their customer service is excellent very friendly staff and extremely helpful. I have no issues with claims they deal with them very quickly. Their policies are very user friendly and explain everything from cost (monthly) and excess applied and any changes. The only downside is that it can be slightly expensive compared to other Pet Insurance companies but I wouldn’t change. Reviewed on: 28th September 2025

The best pet insurance around!

We have always used petplan for all of our dogs, the only insurance we will use. Petplan has always paid out for claims we have made, and are often quick to do so. When our Dalmatian got diagnosed with epilepsy, we were faced with a bill of just under £5k, worried about not being able to afford to pay that outright, the vets were able to contact Petplan who dealt with the claim directly. Saving us the worry of having to pay straight away, and later claim back. Reviewed on: 27th September 2025

Petplan have paid a recently claim extremely quickly...

Petplan have paid a recently claim extremely quickly and despite needing additional information from me, the process was really straight forward and easy and at no point did I have any concerns they'd pay out. They're not the cheapest insurer but you get what you pay for and the peace of mind when my pet gets ill is priceless. Reviewed on: 24th September 2025

Amazing claims service

Had to claim for some treatment my pet had from our vet and a specialist referral centre. Both claims settled within a day of them being sent it. Fantastic service! Reviewed on: 8th September 2025

In my opinion, Petplan is THE best insurance provider..

In my opinion, Petplan is THE best insurance provider on the market. Yes, it might appear a little more expensive but there's good reason for that. 1. The staff are always friendly, knowledgeable and helpful when I call up, putting my mind at east that my little dog Frankie will be able to get the best possible care. 2. They have paid all of my claims directly to my vet meaning I haven't been left out of pocket whilst the claim is processed. 3. The cover they provide is excellent! My friend is with another insurer and is always having to pay massive excess payments but my excess with Petplan is always the same. Reviewed on: 8th September 2025
