Best account ever

I've been with pockit just under a year, and feel it was the best decision to leave the high st banks. The app is great for keeping control of my spendings. You'd be out of pockit not to get one. Reviewed on: 11th July 2018

SCAM Company

1
* DO NOT USE POCKIT ** This is a SCAM company, they randomly BLOCK your card, for no good reason, then ask for ID etc. once given they pretty much ignore all emails and offer no good reason for not re opening the card I am now taking them to court as they are ignoring me and illegally holding £1200 of my cash I urge you to Please DO NOT OPEN AN ACCOUNT WITH POCKIT Reviewed on: 8th May 2018

Avoid like the plague - Once they have your money they block your account!

Opened an account as sounded like a perfect solution to manage finances of a shared ownership yacht, all pay in equally and each have debit cards for agreed expenditure. We signed up, all deposited cash. Set up first payment to pay surveyor. Next thing get notice of them cancelling the payment and suspending the account. They say pending identity verification but felt this should've been asked for up front. I sent photos of utility bill and driving licence but obscured account numbers for my data protection as don't see they're relevant. The documents prove me and my address etc. Have asked for closure of the account and return of my/our money but they're ignoring this. Have now registered complaint with FOS who seemed quite sympathetic. The whole thing feels like a scam. No freephone number. Their published complaint number is just their regular number that charges 9p/minute but haven't been able to get hold of anyone and there's no countdown of queue position etc. My experience explains their very low ratings. Account suspended

I allow customers to pay me into my account, yesterday I couldnt log in to the app but logged in fine online, I notified pockit, however today after withdrawing the balance they have suspended my account and stopped the transfer, asking me for all my original documents I sent in to open my account. How bizarre, any advice please? [email protected] Reviewed on: 15th March 2018

Do not go near them! Theives!

Since may 2017 my account was disabled. Every time i call their customer service i get a different story. I have supplied at least ten documents to them trying to get my money back. Almost a year later they are STILL giving me the runaround. No one there talks to eachother. No clear answers on what, when or if i will ever see my money again. Im beyond angry and upset! Complaint to Financial Ombudsman

1
Following on from my previous review I complained to the Financial Ombudsman who ruled in my favour and ordered Pockit to pay me compensation. After receiving compensation I closed my account with Pockit. I opened a basic bank account these are offered by all major banks and unlike Pockit they do not charge you for depositing or withdrawing money from your account. They offer more ways to deposit funds in your account than Pockit. Customer services is far better. Pockit charge you to run your account and when they get it wrong (in my experience) they don't do enough to help you. My advice: Open a free basic bank account. If you are not satisfied with service then complain to the ombudsman. Reviewed on: 9th February 2018

Financial Conduct Authority Complaint

1
After experiencing difficulties that Pockit Customer Services were unwilling to address (detailed here in a previous post) I submitted a complaint to the FCA who found in my favour and instructed Pockit to pay me compensation. I then closed my account with Pockit. It was a simple process to open a basic bank account. It has no limit on deposits free withdrawals on line telephone banking and in branch banking. Customer services are MUCH better than Pockit you speak to staff who know what they are doing they answer the phones in minutes and you can visit a bank branch and deal with someone face to face. Pockit charge you to: Deposit Cash at a paypoint Withdraw Cash at an ATM Transfer money to another bank account They don't do direct debits. When they get sonething wrong (in my experience) they do little or nothing to correct their mistakes. You don't have to put up with bad service that they charge you for! You can get advice about basic bank accounts from: Citizens Advice Council Offices Banks Reviewed on: 9th February 2018

Never Sorted.. Had to move to another card

Hi all.. This is just as an update, Pockit never gave me my money back.. Even though my balance was £0.. and on the third new card.. There were still people in South America trying to use the card details.. Only reason they couldn't have a night out on me was due to by zero balance.. I LEFT.. and moved to another prepay card provider.. There's loads out there... I urge you to do as I did and LEAVE...! Reviewed on: 6th February 2018

Small Claims Court Help.

1
If you have any problems with Pockit or U account or Frees and they owe you money then please contact [email protected]. If they owe you from £1 to £5,000 then it can be fast tracked through the small claims court. If you win you get all court costs back plus certain enforcement costs. I can guide you on litigation/upgrading any CCJ to High Court Enforcement and other matters such as 3rd party debt orders (the freezing of their accounts to pay the debt). I know all their bank account details for this procedure. I can also advise you on the delaying tactics that these Companies use to bluff you.intimidate you and frustrate you. If they have your money its simple...they have to give you it back. I am not a legally trained individual but I can guide you to get your money back from these companies. Please act quick if they owe you money.I do not charge any fees.I do this for nothing. My plan is to petition the FCA with every won court case we win to get all funds returned and then get these Companies heavily fined and hopefully closed down. If you have refund/deposit issues or are denied access to your account then please get in touch. The BBC Watchdog programme will be informed of every genuine complaint also with your permission. Also I intend to contact the national press and lobby them to write features about these Companies. I believe that the prepaid card industry will be the next financial scandal (similar to PPI) but please act quick whilst these Companies are still active. Do not suffer.Get in touch. I am here to help you, Reviewed on: 15th December 2017
