They try to stop your access to your own money

I was using amazon website when I was offered free prepaid pockit car and a credit of £5. I applied online and next day I received card. I was impresses with their quick service. When I loaded balance of £200 and checked online account, balance was not shown. I called the customer service who asked me to wait for 3 days to transfer funds. Normally funds from one UK bank account to another are transferred straight away within no time. After 3 days when I called and told them that funds were not shown, they ask me to check again and after a little while funds were shown in my account. Next day when I used card ATM to change the PIN, I could change PIN successfully, which means card was active. When I tried to withdraw £10, it says not authorized. When I tried this card on different shops, transactions were declined. Again I called them and told them that funds are shown however I am unbale to spend. The agent says that card is active and we have not received any authorization so we can not help. On arguing and asking to transfer to supervisor they said that case was sent to IT support, please allow 2 working days. After two working days when I called them they said that nothing wrong with your card or account, keep on using card. I asked them how could I use the card when it is not authorized. When I spoke to supervisor they say that they will send me a replacement card. On receiving replacement card I activated it online. Went to ATM machine and changed the PIN number. It did'nt work again. Then I sent them a legal notice with copy form information to the financial ombudsman. Then they resolved the issue and I was able to withdraw fund from the account It is therefore advised to keep people away from this card. They try to keep you away from ypur money and makes different lame excuses as delaying tactics. Not all people make complaint to ombudsman or court. Therefore they take those people money awa! they have basically confiscated my money

after waiting two weeks to receive my card it finally arrived and my sister loaded some money on to it. After the money failed to clear i contacted Pockit only to find out I needed to post them proof of address, ID and a print screen of the payment and that it would take a number of days to clear. This is ridiculous, I chose the pockit account as i have moved country and it seemed like the perfect way to manage my money while I get myself settled. I was relying on this money to pay rent and now I'm screwed. Why was all of this extra stuff not mentioned when i spoke to their advisors before making the transaction? I asked them to return the money to my sisters account so she could just give me it in cash only to be told it will take atleast 2 weeks for the money to return to her account. The DWP puts my pension into my pockit account on Monday and I have to spend countless emails and phone call to pockit cause it doesn't show in my balance they just cut you off every time then suddenly days later it appears like magic Reviewed on: 14th June 2016

Getting my pension loaded to my card

Every week they loose my pension from DWP and I have to e mail them ,waste of time then I phone them and eventually get someone who can speak English they cut you off after two to three days later it suddenly appears i. Appalling company. Avoid.

What an appalling company. Within a month of opening the account, I sent a deposit for nearly £300 which they lost, made me send tonnes of proof that I sent it including bank statement, and then after 2 weeks just credited it to my account without any correspondence or apology. I then asked for my account to be closed as I was so annoyed. I was told to do this in writing via email, so I did. After a month I had heard nothing back, once again, so I emailed again, after 2 weeks received the refund of the small balance in my account and an email just saying it was done. No acknowledgement of my complaint or apology. Dire customer services. Awful to make contact with, and can't even keep hold of your money. Avoid. Reviewed on: 12th May 2016

Easy enough, but they need contactless cards!

Took out a Pockit prepaid card solely to claim their free fiver when singing up. It took 99p + less than five minutes to get an account set up and they had the card out to me in the post in three working days. Once received, I topped up with a tenner and my card was accepted in a small independent retailer five minutes later, so, it does what it says on the tin! My £5 signup bonus came within a week although I'm disappointed that it isn't a contactless card, bit old school. Reviewed on: 7th April 2016
