Accessible, clear worded and great price

Securing my house insurance with Policy Expert was an easy process where benfits were clearly explained including a separate email regarding emergency cover which really helped save money on my boiler protection. Don't touch with a barge pole

Our bedroom ceiling collapsed. They agreed to send a surveyor round a week later. I got a roofer to replace a slate that had fell off. The surveyor said the ceiling didn't come down due to rain damage but due to wear and tear and that the roof was in a good state. I sent photographic evidence of the water damage. They then said they still wasn't paying as the roof was suffering from wear and tear and the slate didn't come off because of high winds. Maybe a bird pecked it off!. Good value policy

My second year with Policy Expert. Although the premium rose significantly from that of the previous year, it was still the cheapest cover that I could find. The policy features meet my needs and appear to be good value. Fortunately I haven't needed to claim so far so cannot comment on that aspect of the company. Reviewed on: 31st August 2023
