NEVER USE POST OFFICE TRAVEL INSURANCE. Horrible servive.

I purchased a policy in feb when i went to jamaica. I kept all records of when i was poorly and as soon as i came back i proceeded with making a claim. To begin with they seng my policy documents to the wrong email address due to them spelling my email wrong. When i asked them to send me the documents again they kept saying due to the policy ending they cant send it ( weird right considering i paid for it and its just an email address change? ). Eventually one guy gave me a number to call where they could send it to me but even then it was the same shit. Gave all my details, said i would receive them its now the end of may and i havent heard anything. Regardless i went on to make the claim by filling out the form, providing all documents and posting it first class to the address provided. I have sent countless of emails to try and figure out whats going on as i am still yet to receive a bloody claim number!!!! Everytime i am told the same BS which is we will get back to you with an update. We are now going into june and i have yet to receive nothing. No update, phone call, apology, compensation, NOTHING. I honestly should have never purchased the policy to begin with and seeing other reviews now it makes sense. Disgusging and shocking behaviour from this company. I would rate -0 stars if i could. Would NEVER RECOMMEND TO A FRIEND OR FAMILY OR EVEN A STRANGER. Stay far aesy from these crooks as i will be taking legal action in which i hope to receive a lot more than what i am claiming for. Do Not Buy

I have been trying now to make a claim on Post Office Travel insurance for 5 months. My husband and I were prevented from going on a cruise when he had a cardiac arrest in February. His heart condition was accepted as an existing medical condition on the policy which cost £1200. They constantly pass the buck, ask for medical notes and leave everything to the last legal minute they are allowed. They owe us £8000plus. Not worth the broadband space of downloading the docs ,

Purchased post office insurance, they just find any reason not to pay. Don’t buy it . We had a cancelled flight which incurred lots of cost getting home, Collinson would not pay out, waste of money don’t use Reviewed on: 26th July 2023

AVOID,IT IS VIRTUALLY A SCAM.

Do not use the post office travel insurance.it is underwritten by Collinsons travel insurance.they will not pay out for claims,do not understand why the post office use them.most people give them 1*!!!AVOID AT ALL COSTS AND I MEAN COSTS.there are 1000s of bad reviews on complaints sites. Password nightmare

Tried to access online. Changing password didn't help. Prompt to reset password came from TRAVEL.Rang call centre, she reset it, got in once. Then travel.insurance wouldn't let me in. Reset wouldn't work, rang. Man said he'd send email but didn't. Now can't access home insurance either. Won't be renewing either police, what a farce. Reviewed on: 8th June 2023

Unbelievably bad .do not buy

Have had great difficulty trying to submit a claim for travel insurance for holiday we were unable to take die to death of my mother.have emailed and submitted forms and tried ringing.witjout even an acknowledgement.unbelievably bad customer service! Reviewed on: 24th April 2023

Diabolical & useless

Pointless

Purchased travel insurance for our holiday in May 2022, had to unfortunately seek medical attention whilst on holiday. Attempted to claim this back when I returned home as per the policy and still no further forward, they have emailed asking for more information for the third time but when I attempt to reply it sends a message back to say their inbox is full and also unable to get through on the phone it just rings and rings. Luckily it was only approximately £100 so I have resigned myself to the fact I won’t get this money back, however, I purchase travel insurance so I’m covered which this policy hasn’t fulfilled, feel like I wasted my money purchasing cover. Would always discourage anyone from purchasing travel insurance from the post office very very poor and doesn’t fulfil its purpose. Reviewed on: 6th April 2023

This Firm are Are Crooks!!!

15 months and still waiting for payout on our travel insurance…Dozens of emails and to date no end in site. After being in quarantine in Dubai for 1 month they have not paid a single penny compensation!! Collinsons who deal with their claim ‘s are nothing short of corrupt!!! Beware of this….It’s terrible they keep asking the same questions over and over again. Then the whole process starts all over again !!! Reviewed on: 14th March 2023
