The RBS Select current account is a basic account for everyday banking.

Account holders can access RBS’ mobile banking app which has a range of money management features and built-in credit score checker. The Select account is compatible with Apple Pay and Google Pay and has the option for an arranged overdraft.

Easy to access and friendly service.

Is well managed, easily accessible and has a variety of ways to access my money. When in branch that staff are always approachable and helpful. I can check my money at anytime from anywhere, which makes life so much easier. Reviewed on: 12th February 2017

friendly staff but a bland atmosphere in branch

the branch in Bury Greater Manchester is very bland with a lot of wasted space. Also the new cash machines do not allow deposits which is very inconvenient!! Reviewed on: 12th February 2017

Always helpful

A friend who worked for a rival bank pointed me toward RBS more than 15 years ago when I was looking at decent mortgage deals and I have never looked back. The current account is excellent and I use the online banking every day. Reviewed on: 12th February 2017

No Perks, Bad Service

It took me ages to set up my account. The Bank manager made me return to my boss. My letter from work was addressed to 'the bank manager' and had to be changed to 'the Royal Bank of Scotland' otherwise the account could not be setup. Ridiculous!! Reviewed on: 10th February 2017

Great British bank with trustworthy reputation

I often call phone banking to check my account details, query direct debits and transfer payments. I'm a bit of technophobe and still like to talk to a friendly staff member. I love the courteous, polite, friendly and helpful staff that works at RBOS. Reviewed on: 7th February 2017

Great all round advice-brilliant friendly service!

Great helpful knowledgeable staff - always smiling,great service from helping update contact details,highlighting services available, and undertaking account activities. No problems and have been banking with them for years-great local access,simple clear understanding of account info and services- limited jargon and enjoy the personable service,not faceless like other banks!love the staff and accessibility and service at my local branch thanks! All I could need

Find their online banking and mobile very useful and easy to use, Transferring money, cancelling direct debits etc. Good helpful service online, phone or face to face. Reviewed on: 3rd February 2017

Good service, not a lot of benefits

Attempted to change name on bank account. Had three forms of I.d with me but was told it couldn't be done. Went to different branch who did it there and then Reviewed on: 31st January 2017

It is what it is

Your standard debit account. No sneaky charges etc etc. Incredible mobile app, great online banking features (minus the need to go on rbs.co.uk/Englandandwales rather that just rbs.co.uk) and great support from customer services whenever you need them. Best of all must be their feature to draw cash, even if you don't have your card, it's saved me so many times! Reviewed on: 24th January 2017
