Phoning Saffron Building Society around 11am today.

I Phoned Saffron Building Society around 11am today. I spoke to Ruby Hurren, informing her that I wished to encash my 12 months Regular Savers account, minus £50, having the balance paid to my bank account. In addition, I asked Ruby to action a further 12 months Regular Savers schedule be setup. Ruby was clear: clear concise, and friendly throughout the process. Reviewed on: 27th February 2026

Kendra at the Bishop’s Stortford branch really helped me out with my savings account. She figured out that my current savings account wasn’t giving me the most for my money so helped me to change it to one that works best for me. Much more than just a bank.

As a newly appointed Treasurer of a local community group I have found SBS amazingly easy to work with on all aspects of my role. The group had been through an odd time since Covid with many key Committee members dying, becoming too ill to operate independently or having medical issues. Therefore aspects of the financial operation had been allowed to deteriorate. SBS in a matter of days / few weeks l allowed the group/committee to become functional again. Aspects of their f2f operations are outstanding. Staff are very well trained in all parts of their services. And furthermore give very practical sound advice. Reviewed on: 24th February 2026
