A great discovery

I discovered tg Saffron Building Soviety by chance about ten years ago, whilst shopping. I was very impressed by the outstanding customer service given when I expressed an interest in a regular savings account with a high rate of interest and have never looked back. Savings products consistently have some of the best rates of interest in the market, the conditions are clear to understand. If rates need to be reduced this is clearly notified and often later than other places. Telephone calls are always dealt with promptly and by very knowledgeable staff, who are clearly spoken and can be understood. Reviewed on: 20th April 2026

I have had several accounts with Saffron Walden Building Society for many years. Any changes I wish to make to my accounts are handled efficiently. I like the fact that there are branches in both towns where I go frequently so my access to branches is good. Communication about changes I need to make are sent both by email or paper in good time. A genuine mutual Building Society

Great products to suit a wide range of personal circumstances. The online platform is very user-friendly & suitable for most daily savings requirements with in-branch service as a genuine option for more complex matters.
