The appointment was on time , I was made to feel welcome and the options on investment explained to me. Reviewed on: 15th June 2024

12 years of good service and counting

I've been saving with Saffron since 2012, usually with annual savings accounts. Almost all of my dealings have been online or by post, with everything dealt with accurately and in a timely manner. If I've had an issue there's no "here we go again" - it's usually fixed quickly first time, with no need for follow-up phone calls. Reviewed on: 14th June 2024

The maturity instructions are appalling. The only way to provide full maturity instructions is by post. The Web and App provide a more limited choice. Every year I complain and nothing happens Reviewed on: 13th June 2024

I really like the personal touch at the branch. Talking to an advisor direct and face to face is invaluable as I dislike the online - it is so bland! It gives you time to figure out questions in your own time as you go along. Reviewed on: 13th June 2024

Thank heavens for the human touch.

I received an e-mail telling me that I had to decide what to do with a maturing savings account, stating that I could do this by signing in on-line, telephoning or printing a form and posting it. I signed in but couldn't find out how to confirm my selection. At this point I was decidedly unhappy, thinking that I'm not cut out to use the computer as is demended in today's world. I telephoned the support number and was told that it wasn't my fault because the button isn't shown until 14 days before the maturity date, and the e-mail doesn't make this clear. At this point the person (Mitch?) said he could record my decision, (to move the funds to an existing account), and set up a regular saving account for another year, and for the first month's payment to come from the maturing account. I don't know if this would have been possible on-line but it wasn't possible on the form. He said I will get an e-amil when the account matures, confirming the details for the next year, so I can set up another standing order. This was a perfect outcome; exactly what I wanted. He really is to be commended for taking the time to find out what I wanted, since this option wasn't contained in the e-mail, nor on the form. I rang off feeling a whole lot better. Thank heavens for the human touch. Reviewed on: 13th June 2024
