Card renewal - bad practice

2 male operatives didn't give the correct information and the female operative tried her best but her boss has not deemed my complaint important enough to get back to me. I received a letter from Saga stating my credit card had expired and to ring them with new details. On giving the details of my card, immediate payment for my car insurance was taken from my bank account.At no time was I told this would happen and no one would cancel the payment which was not due for 3 another 3weeks. I was told to cancel it through my bank .They told me the payment was ",pending "so it couldn't be done and to go back to Saga. This practice should be made clear in their letter or by the operative before taking my card details. It has caused me financial embarrassment and disappointment as well 2hrs on the phone trying to deal with this..I will not be renewing my insurance with Saga next year for sure Reviewed on: 25th April 2023

Excellent Customer service and very easy to deal with..

Excellent Customer service and exceptionally easy to deal with. The Customer support team go that extra mile to help you choose the right package for your needs. Their higher end option is exceptional value, for a few extra pounds they will hold the premium price for 3 years. This gives you that peace of mind, especially with Insurance prices on the increase year on year. Reviewed on: 1st October 2025

Competitive premiums

The insurance premiums are competitive, and the online forms are easy to fill in. Staff are helpful and knowledgeable, and very professional. There are various levels of insurance to choose from. Fortunately, haven't needed to make a claim, but am sure it would be handled efficiently should the need arise. Reviewed on: 1st October 2025

SAGA Motor Insurance - Excellent

SAGA Customer Service staff answer phone calls very promptly, and are always courteous & helpful. On my latest renewal, I was guided to a more comprehensive policy, better suited to my needs. I like the option to fix the premium for 3 years. Reviewed on: 1st October 2025

Very efficient at sorting out the windscreen . Contacted Auto screen straightaway and the replacement was sorted asap. I was kept informed of the progress as the process continued. Brilliant.
