Card renewal - bad practice

2 male operatives didn't give the correct information and the female operative tried her best but her boss has not deemed my complaint important enough to get back to me. I received a letter from Saga stating my credit card had expired and to ring them with new details. On giving the details of my card, immediate payment for my car insurance was taken from my bank account.At no time was I told this would happen and no one would cancel the payment which was not due for 3 another 3weeks. I was told to cancel it through my bank .They told me the payment was ",pending "so it couldn't be done and to go back to Saga. This practice should be made clear in their letter or by the operative before taking my card details. It has caused me financial embarrassment and disappointment as well 2hrs on the phone trying to deal with this..I will not be renewing my insurance with Saga next year for sure Reviewed on: 25th April 2023

Saga has had my Motorhome Insurance for several years.

Saga has had my Motorhome Insurance for several years. Its not the cheapest I could find but having had an accident in recent years, that they dealt with superbly, I am happy to stay with them.If and when I need to contact Sage, I have found I always get helpful, polite and friendly service. Good job done.

Called up to change my insurance over, because I bought a new car. Cyril handled every thing perfectly, no complaints from me at all. Shame I had to pay a little more, but at least it's fixed for another three years. Reviewed on: 14th August 2025
