Card renewal - bad practice

2 male operatives didn't give the correct information and the female operative tried her best but her boss has not deemed my complaint important enough to get back to me. I received a letter from Saga stating my credit card had expired and to ring them with new details. On giving the details of my card, immediate payment for my car insurance was taken from my bank account.At no time was I told this would happen and no one would cancel the payment which was not due for 3 another 3weeks. I was told to cancel it through my bank .They told me the payment was ",pending "so it couldn't be done and to go back to Saga. This practice should be made clear in their letter or by the operative before taking my card details. It has caused me financial embarrassment and disappointment as well 2hrs on the phone trying to deal with this..I will not be renewing my insurance with Saga next year for sure Reviewed on: 25th April 2023

Excellent service and courteous staff

Good service and good prices. We now have both our cars insured with Saga after the cost of my husbands cover increased by over £220+ this year for no reason. Reviewed on: 25th September 2021

Best value for money, with great staff at all times.

Always helpful and informative

Throughout the years I've used SAGA for my car and home insurance, I've been impressed with the level of service. Recently my car ins was due to be renewed. I was about to sell my car and the lady having it was unwell. I was delighted to know that if I renewed my policy but sold the car within 14 days, I would only be charged £10 (and the relevant days) - the rest would be refunded.
