Card renewal - bad practice

2 male operatives didn't give the correct information and the female operative tried her best but her boss has not deemed my complaint important enough to get back to me. I received a letter from Saga stating my credit card had expired and to ring them with new details. On giving the details of my card, immediate payment for my car insurance was taken from my bank account.At no time was I told this would happen and no one would cancel the payment which was not due for 3 another 3weeks. I was told to cancel it through my bank .They told me the payment was ",pending "so it couldn't be done and to go back to Saga. This practice should be made clear in their letter or by the operative before taking my card details. It has caused me financial embarrassment and disappointment as well 2hrs on the phone trying to deal with this..I will not be renewing my insurance with Saga next year for sure Reviewed on: 25th April 2023

Excellent service from Saga

During 2019 l had two Occasions when my car was damaged By Two drivers the first damage occurred by a uninsured driver who Initially I wasn’t aware and she in fact gave me the wrong insurance company however Saga found out that it was incorrect. the second occasion; the person did not wish to put the claim through their Insurance. Brilliant company, a claim without a saga is possible

My first year with Saga for my car insurance, I was hit by another car which I use for my business , coronavirus made things difficult for the repairs but I was called weekly updates and reassured I had not been forgotten, once the garage opened Saga ensures I got a like for like vehicle which was needed but to my physical health needs, perfect Reviewed on: 26th August 2020
