Deal breaker

The 123 was a deal breaker till they dropped the rates, however it is still overall better than most other Banks. Very easy to deal with in Bank and also online, happy with how things have went from switching to day to day running. Perfect for Students and Saving!

I opened a student 123 current account with Santander and have been very impressed and at ease. When I first opened the account I struggled with starting up my online banking account as my letters were sent in the wrong order in the post but Santander were helpful and made sure my account was safely set up and even reimbursed me £60 for the time spent on the phone and the inconvenience! As well as having fantastic interest rates, I received a free 4 year railcard when I opened the account that gives me a discount on train fares. As a university student, this has by far been the best choice of bank account. Reviewed on: 18th January 2017

Increase monthly fee with little customer benfefit

I've been an Alliance & leicester & then Santander customer for many years. However recently I've experienced poor customer service and benefits for an increasing monthly fee with little benefit and even reduction in interest on accounts. Reviewed on: 17th January 2017

Still the best bank account around

I switched to Santander 2 years ago and have been glad I did, until recently I was receiving £60 a month in interest. Even with recent cuts Santander is still the best deal. I have found their customer service online and in branch fantastic. Reviewed on: 15th January 2017

A GREAT SERVICE FROM MY LOCAL BRANCH

WE JOINED THE SANTANDER 123 ACCOUNT TWO YEARS AGO AND HAVE BEEN VERY HAPPY WITH THE ACCOUNT. THE CASHBACK WE EARN IS GREAT BUT IT IS THE PERSONAL SERVICE WE NOW GET FROM THE STAFF IN OUR LOCAL BRANCH. Reviewed on: 10th January 2017

Dealing with my stupidity

Being as forgetful as I am, it has been suprising that santander still refer to me as a good customer. The number of times I have forgotten one of my passwords and have had to call them up for a reset is beyond belief. I've lost count of the number times it has happened but they are always understanding and very helpful. Just a shame they have no work around for my forgetful nature. Reviewed on: 4th January 2017

Still A Good Choice

Early morning transactions may be embarrassing!

I have always found the Santander 123 current account online banking to be very user friendly and efficient. The only thing I would criticize is that when I want to pay a new person or bill, Santander sends a pin number to my mobile phone to verify. This is great for security but if, like me, you have very bad mobile phone reception it can be a bit of pain, not to mention embarrassing, walking up and down the street in a dressing gown (if it's an early morning transaction) trying to get a signal.
