Day to day Great but Stuck in New Account HELL!

Our account has been great thus far, but applying to a second account for our new business venture has been nothing short of a horror show, endless questions that as a new business you could absolutely not possibly answer and they want "EXACT" answers how on earth do you provided EXACT answers on future income??, this request for a review frankly came at a very poor time for starling until this experience I would gladly have rated them 5 stars and actively rave about how good the service has been but this debacle has exposed a deep lack of support & understanding of what it takes when it comes to starting new ventures at this current time & we are considering moving all of our accounts 3 Personal accounts, Buisness & this new business as well as us no longer gleefully recommending the bank to everyone as we have since we've used it... Starling Bank, not for business Banking

As a business customer with foreign payments, I have found them useless. They frequently delay payments, which causes me issues with my clients and is very costly in management time. Everything is on the app, and the website is a reduced service in what you can do, so you cannot respond to customer service messages, for instance. One issue is that you cannot get a record of customer service massaged as the app is so secure. A business may need a paper trail for an issue; you cannot do it with Starling, not even a screenshot, as it's disabled for security. You can ask them to send an email, but you must do it each time, which adds a delay. I could not recommend them for business banking; they are just not set up for anything other than a small setup. Feel free to drop us an email with any questions you have to [email protected], but for now, here are some things that may help: - All your messages with our customer service team can be found in your app. You can go to your menu at the app's top by clicking the round icon, scroll down to 'Help' and then select 'Talk to Starling'. All your previous messages with us are there. You can take screenshots, and this can be allowed in-app, too. However, after a period, it will automatically disable, and you'll have to select the option again: Click on the round icon at the top of your app, then on the dented icon at the top, select 'login&security' and then 'enable screenshots' by toggling the option. You'll have 15 minutes to use this. You can view and download statements from your app by clicking on the round icon at the top of your app. Again, we'd love to help with anything you need and make your experience better with us. No fuss Business Banking

The interface seems pretty simple to use and navigate, plus if you do need to speak with a CSA there is very little wait time, perhaps a couple of minutes. Reviewed on: 27th March 2024
