Great bank!

A breath of fresh air after too long with the High St banks

I was fed up with HSBC making it very expensive to do any overseas banking, despite their claims about being the world's local bank, and increasingly frustrated with a fairly poor level of support. Everything felt like hard work and they seem to charge you for every step that you take. I made the move to Starling and have not looked back. Everything about the experience feels modern and the way that banking should be. We don't have especially complex needs but Starling just gets everything right and makes the older banks feel like dinosaurs. Reviewed on: 17th March 2022

Great account for my new business

In 2020, I made the decision to leave my secure staff job and start my business. I looked around for a business bank account and loved the features of the Starling Bank Account. Around the same time, I also heard a podcast interviewing founder, Anne Boden, and I was impressed by her vision. The application process was very easy. I find the app easy to use. I pay a small monthly fee to access the business toolkit to help me prepare and manage my invoices. Reviewed on: 16th March 2022

One word, brilliant

Fuss free, no nonsense business account

I banked with a well-known high Street bank for 50 years. When the pandemic struck I had to apply for a bounce back loan but could only do it through their website. Except it wouldn't accept my account number! Weeks of unanswered phone calls, plus many visits to branches with 3 hour queues where no one could help me anyway.... and I thought 'so much for loyalty'. I found Starling Bank via Google and opened a business account within seconds. They transferred everything from my old bank without fuss. I applied for the bounce back loan online and it was instantly approved. Their banking app is perfect, its not been designed as an addition, it's the way they do business so it's been designed with the user in mind. Intuitive, fast, and fuss free.
