Great that they get their own space, with a debit card for withdrawing cash and making payments online, but all visible by me, and with good controls. They get their own app, so they can check the balance at any time. The only real drawback is the lack of functionally like direct debits, for example for paying a mobile phone bill. Perfect for giving child financial freedom

My son went away with the scouts last year and the kite card gave me visibility of what he was spending and enabled me to top him up when needed without having to have too much in the account should he lose his card. Reviewed on: 12th April 2024
