The bank of the times

I have had an account for a couple years and I have watched other banks fade away. When I joined Starling, I signed up through the application on my phone. It was very easy. I confirmed my identity online, with somethey help me via live chat. I can upload cheques to my account. When I am a little out of pocket, I find a few spare pennies that have been automatically saved for me with each purchase. Starling is progressive and targets the current age and that is wonderful. Older people seem to get left behind in the times. This encourages them to adapt and embrace them. It welcomes them into the new age. Reviewed on: 5th March 2021

Simple and useful

The app is incredibly simple to use and well designed. The current account product features offered are useful and relevant I.e. not having to set up a separate savings account, competitive interest rates, no overseas transaction charges, total spending each month and many more practical and useful features. Instant and visual

Can’t tell you how easy the Starling app is enough! Everything is super visual so you can see what’s going on with your money as much as you need to! Even their customer service line is super quick and helpful! Can’t recommend this bank enough! Reviewed on: 16th April 2021

Fantastic Banking experience

Ethical and great banking experience

I was looking for an ethical bank and initially tried another one which has all the ethical credentials but I found the banking experience clunky, dated and impractical. And then they told me that as a self employed sole trader (musician) I should not have opened the current account, but their ‘business account’ which charges for every transaction and is actually called the ‘social enterprise’ account. From the first moment of signing up to Starling the experience has been entirely the opposite of that. Modern, app based (but just as ethical) banking, with numerous thoughtful features to make interacting with your account simple, helpful and informative. Being able to open an account in about ten minutes and then instantly be able to start using the debit card in Apple Pay without even having to wait for it to arrive in the post (2 days later) was just the start. A few weeks in I have only positive things to say and would highly recommend Starling to anyone and everyone. A great banking experience whether you’ve ever considered the ethical angle or not, and if you have, even better. Reviewed on: 16th April 2021
