Makes banking fun and relevant

Starling has created a phone app that makes banking easy and the team have made it fun and enjoyable at the same time. I especially value the function to photograph a cheque to bank it - so I don't need to visit an actual bank anymore whenever I receive a cheque payment. Genius. Reviewed on: 18th February 2021

It does it all, it's super intuative to use, and I've never been so in control of my banking. I do miss the quality interest rate but that's an issue much larger than just this bank! Honestly can't recommend it enough!! Reviewed on: 18th February 2021

A modern bank for the modern world

After years of poor service from a big UK bank, Starling is a breath of fresh air. They listen to customers and provide an excellent, modern product and service that absolutely beats all the big banks. This is a bank fit for the modern world and way better than all the banking dinosaurs that are failing to keep up with the times. Reviewed on: 18th February 2021

SIZE ISN'T EVERYTHING!

No paperwork or time-consuming visits to branches. Real time notifications, lower fees and fee-free spending abroad (when we can travel again). Cheques up to £500 can be deposited using the online app and if you need to deposit cash, it can be done without cost or fuss at any Post Office. Happy days! What more do you want? Wow - Customer Service

Customer service, in the true use of the term, is very rare nowadays. Blame the customer. Hide the corporation's failures. Ignore the customer in the hope they go away. That is what I experience most of the time when contacting a 'customer service' department. To be honest, I cringe, realise there will likely be little help at best and more likely no help ... however an abundance of frustration. Not at Starling Bank! I can say from personal experience there are actual human beings at Starling Bank's customer service. Oh the joy! They actually listen to the issue and then proceed to help. Not necessary via the dreaded checklist/flowchart 'service' method but by logical thinking <gasp!>, knowledge & experience. Starling Bank customer service can and do reply with emails that are not only understandable and grammatically correct, but indicate they actually did READ my entire email and understood it. I was concerned about using an online only bank. However with a several interactions with Starling Bank's honest customer service by email and phone, I'm confident they will resolve any future issues I may experience. Well done Starling Bank.
