Avoid Starling Bank they don't let you use your own... Avoid Starling Bank they don't let you use your own money by stopping you transferring it between your own accounts and also returned a £20 direct deb... Read more Reviewed on: 21st August 2026

Been with Monzo and Starling banks Starling stands out with fee free atm abroad , free cash deposit at post office, low overdraft fees and just feel better. Reviewed on: 7th February 2020

The most user friendly and excellent customer service I have ever received

Opened this current account to travel abroad with as it was recommended to me as cheap to use. I have been fantastically impressed with it’s user friendliness and the response to queries and questions. My son has since opened a current account as he lives and works in Sweden and was struggling with English based banks. It has been his financial life saver. The Starling account was so easy to set up! My debit card arrived within a couple of days and I could use it straight away. The app is so simple but has great features including spaces to create savings goals and to put money aside. You can easily see what you have spent, including where by looking at your summary and you also receive notifications when you’ve used your debit card. It’s easy to transfer money between accounts too. Reviewed on: 24th January 2020
