Banking as it should be

I have now been banking with Starling for 6 months and today have arranged to transfer my previous sole account and alongside my wife, our joint account as a result of 'trying out' Starling. All aspects of the banking process run more smoothly than I have experienced before (I am 66 and have banked with various banks over the years since my student days in London). The immediate notification on my phone of money movement and speed of transaction starts to really challenge the need for cash. Paying in money at the Post Office was easy and much more readily available than tracking down a branch. Exactly the bank account I was looking for!

It was very, very easy to set up and account with Starling Bank - very straightforward, no fuss, no hassle! A really nice, simple to use app, and everything was done in a matter of minutes. No need for an apooiintment within 9-5 hours to open an account - I opened mine from my sofa in the evening, well after normal banking hours. Adding payees was very simple, too and this is somehting I could not do with my previous bank's mobile app. I would recommend Starling Bank to everyone! Reviewed on: 2nd January 2020

The Best Bank!

I can’t even begin to describe just how incredible Starling Bank really is! The customer support is absolutely incredible, and I have had some exceptional experiences with them lately. They really do go above and beyond to help whenever it is required. The app is the best I’ve personally ever seen from a bank and it is exactly how banking should be done in the 21st century. The Pulse really helps to give a visual representation of all transactions over the day. I also like the spending insights as that has given me fully visibility over my finances, so I can see exactly where my money is going each month and payments that have been made into the account. You also get instant notifications sent to your phone of payments made into your account, payments you make from your card, direct direct reminders the day before and also to inform you when your direct debit payments have been made. You will also receive notifications when any standing order payments are made too. You also get the option of ‘’Goals’’ to help you visualise and save for those important events or items, and it’s separate from your main account balance, so you can keep everything separate and stay on track to reach your savings goals. I also particularly like how with your Starling card, you can make fee free transactions in other currencies without any unfair ‘’non-sterling transaction fees’’, and you can also make cash withdrawals abroad too at the same £300 daily rate as with ATM’s in the UK with no ‘’non-sterling transaction fees’’ added at Starling’s end. Therefore, Starling is the best travel companion for holidaymakers and business people on work trips. You can also deposit cash at the post office up to £20,000 per transaction, which is totally free for personal customers and a small fee for business customers. However, for the service you receive from Starling, it is totally worth it! Considering how any deposited cash is available within seconds in your account in my experience, this shows how incredible the service being offered actually is! In fact you can usually receive a notification of the funds deposited into your account before you’ve even taken your card out of the reader! You can also withdraw cash too at the same daily allowance as from an ATM in the post office. Therefore, Starling really are all about making banking easier for the customer. Starling also has some of the best overdraft and loan rates for eligible customers that I have personally ever seen from a bank. You also don’t get charged any extremely unfair ‘’unpaid transaction fees’’, which is fantastic! In my opinion, Starling is offering the best overall service and product of any bank and you definitely won’t regret it opening an account! Reviewed on: 1st January 2020

Banking reinvented

I finally feel like I'm in control of money. Before it was giving me anxiety because I've always felts like I didn't have enough. Now seeing where it goes (categories), I've made changes to my spending and can enjoy growing savings. When I feel bad I just look at how much I've saved for things that matter, and feel relief. Great bank, great service

Starling have been great for me. I have both personal and business accounts with them. Their fee free overseas card spending is great and so useful on trips across Europe. They really care about the customer

There have been numerous times where I have been able to contact starling through the app and get a speedy response by one of there members. Furthermore, I bank with 3 banks (including starling) and starling make offer the pest perks like the marketplace and best schemes for travelling aboard, they’re also great at notifying me with every single transaction to take place with my money.
