Dead wood

They stopped developing and moving on. Also, I will take decision my self when and how much to invest into cryptocurrencies. Reviewed on: 26th January 2023

Oh dear Starling!

Quite a poor first impression to the point that I closed the account as soon as it was verified! It took days to verify and it seems you can deposit money but not withdraw until you're verified. Not clear from the beginning that the email you get that says 'Your're In' does not mean your account is totally usable (see above), CS take not hours but days to respond. Had problems with the app to right from the start; after loading the app and logging out, when you try to log back in again it took you to the 'verify' screen. You had to uninstall/reinstall the app to get beyond this screen but after logging out and logging back in you got the 'verify' screen so, yep, you had to uninstall/reinstall the app to go further. ModernnBanking at its finest.

Made the decision to embrace modern banking after 30yrs with Halifax. Easy setup within 5mins and the current account switch went through seemlessly. The dashboard is fantastic for keeping an eye on your spending and makes budgeting a doddle. Thoroughly recommend. Well done Starling!! Reviewed on: 12th December 2018

Super fast set up, great customer service

would be lost without it

I never knew how bad i was at managing money, until i started to use Starling. The banking app gives me real-time visibility of my cashflow, meaning i know exactly what i'm spending and when. It even gives me a warning to let me know money is running out so i don't overspend or end up in an overdraft. Reviewed on: 12th December 2018

My foreign account

Easy, simple and in control.

As quite a techie guy I love the instant ability to control my finance in a fresh and modern way. For me, its been a great bank to move to after 20 years with HSBC whos disgraceful customer support pushed me to move, very glad I am now with Starling Bank, keep up the good work.
