Banking made easy

I've been using Starling for over a year now, and after 8 months, made them my main current account. Before this I was a pure branch-only banker (I can hear the gasps), and didn't even use online banking. It's pretty much been a game changer for me. Having instant notifications is great for budgeting (as well as from a security standpoint), and the granular control over your card is something I've yet to see anywhere else. You can lock the entire card, or just a subset of features. It is also integrating with a whole host of products via its marketplace to help keep tabs on your finances. CS isn't available instantly, but the response time has been perfectly acceptable for all issues I've had so far. On the whole, I've been really impressed, and hope they continue to grow/improve at the rate they have this last year. Reviewed on: 6th November 2018

Great new bank for the digital age

The best of the new challenger banks

I tried a number of new mobile-based challenger banks before settling on Starling. More features and fairer fees than any competitor. After six months I switched all of my banking to them. Benefits include instant notifications, spending insights, separate savings goals, full digital wallet support, fee-free foreign spending and ATM withdrawals, interest on positive balances and a low overdraft interest rate. A number of family and friends have switched to Starling and I have no hesitation recommending this bank. You can sign up using your mobile in minutes and they also provide joint accounts and fee-free business accounts. Reviewed on: 6th November 2018

The future of banking

Starling Bank is innovating virtually every aspect of banking. What other bank tells you BEFORE a direct debit payment will take you into overdraft? In conjunction with Yoyo Wallet it is now possible to attach a full VAT receipt to a payment made using the Starling debit card. The Marketplace section of the app also enables your Sterling credentials to be shared with selected partners to simplify signing up for other services. Card functionality can be adjusted simply via the app, so lost cards can be stopped and re-started when the card is found. It is also possible to prevent gambling payments from being made.
