Great, user focused company

Where other companies used covid as a reason to sell policies but not provide cover, Staysure acknowledged customers wish to travel and adapted their policy Reviewed on: 16th August 2021

Good company

I took out your insurance fir a holiday in 2020, that was cancelled due to COVID-19,but was able to keep the holiday insurance and use up to 2023. Reviewed on: 16th August 2021

Great service

Abysmal

My wife and I have been long term customers of Staysure with no claims record. We found ourselves marooned in South Africa due to covid and sought an extension of the 100 day cover we had. We decided to sit out restrictions in SA rather than quarantine in the Heathrow Gulag. Of course we expected to pay and see a time limit on an extension - that goes without saying. Some out of the box thinking was needed to help customers in difficult situations. Not from Staysure who took the view too bad folks you just have to spend time in the Gulag. Staysure refused an extension saying they did not know how long restrictions might last. We did not ask for a permanent extension!! To cap it all when we complained we were referred to someone who seemed not to read emails, inexplicably telephoned us on our home number in UK and said they were working from home 2 days a week and had poor internet connection. paid extra for Covid cover - got no support

we both purchased annual travel insurance last March (2020) and contacted staysure to check we had covid curtailment cover. Holiday was curtailed. Received derisory coupon based "compensation" from Travel company, which we would have had to use by March 2021 - How? Staysure refused to help as coupon was all that was required. Fortunately Credit card company sorted it out. When I buy I expect the cover I paid for - didn't get it. Will never donate to Staysure again Reviewed on: 4th March 2021

Accommodating and Professional

The issues surrounding the Covid virus were already stressful enough without the added worry of a potential cancelled and lost holiday. However, Staysure were very prompt in responding to our plight and without any fuss they agreed to transfer our travel insurance in its entirety to a new date a year hence and without charging us a penny in extra fees.
