I turned to step change in 2020 my marriage had bro...

I turned to step change in 2020 my marriage had broken down , and I was left with a lot of debts so I owed about 16000, at the time, iv been able to put all my debts as one payment, so far iv payed just over 6,000 pounds in the last 5 years I'm glad I did turn to step change, they have helped me sort out my debts and now iv been able to sleep at night Reviewed on: 24th May 2025

So relieved

When i finally plucked up the courage to call, Stepchange took all of my anxiety away, made me realise it wasn't my fault (huge relief) and that there was a way out and that I wasn't the only one and nothing to be ashamed of. The best help you can get !

Having Stepchange help me through debt management has been the best thing I have done. After years of paying extortionate interest on cards and not seeing a way out I reached out to Stepchange. Their staff are understanding, companionate, and most of all reassuring. Feeling very embarrassed to be in the situation I was they removed any stigma or embarrassment attached to being in debt crisis. Without Stepchange I don’t know how I would have coped moving forward.
