Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

Having moved back to my home town due to my elderly...

Having moved back to my home town due to my elderly mother being ill and having a high paid job to minimum wage my finances took a tumble . StepChange has turned my problems around

Every stage of the process towards a debt management plan was made clear and relatively easy to carry out . I struggled with some of the IT involved. Everyone I have spoken to has been knowledgable and non judgmental and kind. I dreaded having to involve anyone else in my financial problems but StepChange took away that feeling to a large extent. I do not hesitate to to contact them whenever I feel anxious or uncertain about anything to do with creditors etc. Reviewed on: 25th May 2025

Hands on, but Unseen hands on
