Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

Life savers

I was in debt from over committing on credit. I had calls and letters coming in faster than my wages. Stepchange took care of all of that and within a couple of years I was debt free thanks to them and their easy to afford consolidated debt plan. They kept me informed of everything and checked on a regular basis that the plan was affordable. Cannot thank them or recommend them highly enough. Absolutely brilliant company. supportive, understanding and helpful

Saved our lives pretty much. Following my husband's illness and subsequently having to give up his job debts mounted but StepChange talked me through all the options reassuring me all the time that there was a solution.
