Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

peace of mind during tough times

we all make mistakes in our youth and eventually you have to pay for them, Stepchange was there to advise and guide us, once you face your problems and start on the road back the relief from all the stress is worth it alone, highly reccomend this company, we took ours heads out of the sand and they were there to help. Peace of mind

Lifesavers

Just as the title says, lifesavers, this is exactly what step change are, my debts and personal life were in such a state that I contemplated suicide so much so that I had to attend counselling for over a year , debt of course was just a percentage of my problems but this amazing charity took over all my debts and took the stress away of all the constant letters through the post and gave me a semblance of peace of mind back, I am eternally grateful to them, I am not out of the woods yet, I still have lots to pay off but thanks to step change the worrying is a lot less than what it was, the staff are so friendly, extremely helpful and it's not difficult to recommend them to anybody who finds themselves in the position I was, they may have quite literally kept me alive. Helpful and Non Judgemental

Debt can happen to anyone for any number of reasons either deliberate, unfortunate or completely unforeseen circumstances. This is particularly so due to the Pandemic. StepChange is professional, non judgemental, informative for all options to consider and free. They give people hope and a path to follow to resolve and sort out their financial status. Best support ever

Step change helped me out when I had nowhere else to turn, I had a really difficult break up and left alone with mountains of debt and had some really dark thoughts. StepChange everything around and I’m in such a good place now! Reviewed on: 4th September 2021
