Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

Extremely helpful ongoing experience

From an indebtedness frightful situation that I found myself in, StepChange has overall helped me come to terms with where I was, and got me on a stable plan that is working for me very well in order to clear my debts timeously. Of course I must stick to my planned debt reduction as my side of the agreement in order to slowly but surely climb my ladder to reach debt freedom. Reviewed on: 4th September 2021

Wonderful and life-changing help!

StepChange have quite simply been amazing. They were recommended by our mortgage provider, and I am so glad they did. I was beside myself with worry at the debts I had discovered, but every person I have spoken to during the last 18 months has been so helpful and sympathetic and I can't thank them enough or praise them highly enough. Professional to the end
